Bhubaneswar: Film producer and actor Pupinder Singh was arrested Saturday in a cheque bounce case and released on bail. According to sources, Balianta police arrested Singh from his Hanspal residence and produced in the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) here which granted him bail on payment of a surety amount of `10,000. Earlier, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Pupinder and his wife Rupinder in a case pertaining to repayment of loan which they had taken from a mining company in 2013. The couple had borrowed `30 lakh from the firm owned by SK Sahoo to produce a film.
