Bhubaneswar: Super star Rajinkanth’s movie Kaala is expected to compete with Hollywood adventure movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom at the city theatres Thursday. Both movies have their individual set of fans. Kaala starring Thalaivaa Rajni along with Nana Patekar and Huma Qureshi will attract Rajni fans who have waited for long for his movie release. However, the Jurassic World will surely attract fans of science fiction. An IT company in Kerala has declared a holiday for its employees June 7 when Kaala, a Rajinikanth starrer film directed by Pa Ranjith, is expected to release to the elation of Rajni fans.

Kaala is a crime drama set in Mumbai. The story depicts a man from Tirunelveli, who migrates to Mumbai and comes in contact with some gangsters and becomes a powerful don residing in the slums of Dharavi. Rajnikant plays the Dharavi don character with ease for the rights of Tamil people. Although the movie is not based on politics, it gives a strong political message to the society. Director Pa Ranjith also emphasizes the suffering of Tamil migrants in Mumbai who often become victims of discrimination. The movie marks Rajnikant`s second association with Ranjith after the 2016 movie Kabali.

Huma Qurashi will also be seen with the 67-year-old actor for the first time. Abinash Mohapatra, a fan of Rajnikant, said, “I never miss any of his movies. Kabali was my favourite movie; I like the story and action of the movie.” Brijesh Mohanty, another cinema buff, said, “I love Rajni`s movie for his unique style and mannerism which make him different from all other stars, I like his action, dialogue delivery, comedy and everything about him. He has a huge fanfollowing all over the world.

Kaala is a big budget movie which will also break all records like Kabali. I cannot wait for the movie to be release on theatre. I am excited to watch two great actors, Rajnikant and Nana Patekar, in one movie.”

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the second movie of the week starring Chris Pratt, Bryca Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum. The film is a sequel to Jurassic World (2015) and is the fifth instalment of the Jurassic Park film series, as well as the second instalment of a planned Jurassic World trilogy. The story, set three years back after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, in which Chris plays Owen Grady and Bryce plays Claire Dearing. The two return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano. But they soon encounter fierce new breed of gigantic dinos while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet. The movie will be another blockbuster of the year from Chris Prat after his Avengers: Infinity War was a big hit. Shradha Agrawal said, “Jurrasic Park franchise is my all time favourite. It will be a pleasant reminder of past dino series.”
