Drama queen Rakhi Sawant is always in the limelight for her controversial comments. But this time however, the story is little different. The 40-year-old actress is set to return to TV screens. She has bagged a role in Zee TV’s supernatural-drama, ‘Manmohini’ and will be portraying the role of ‘chudail’ aka ‘dayan’ (witch).
“I have always been an actor and have portrayed a large number of characters – be it small or big. I have also been part of reality shows. However, this being my first fiction series, I am really excited about it. I have always wanted to be a part of show based on supernatural fiction and hence I am very excited about the role I will portray,” Rakhi was quoted as saying by the media in Mumbai.
“I have been selected for this role. My character is a ‘chudail’ who Mohini has called to seek help. She is very powerful and witty. It is a role, I always wanted to play.”
Rakhi shared several clips of her upcoming act on her Instagram page, and it is hilarious.
The video shared by the channel’s official Instagram handle wrote, “Mohini just got company! Guess WHO! Don’t miss #Manmohini, 17th – 25th January at 7:30PM!” And the video is a laugh riot.
Rakhi also informed that will portray the role of a Maharashtrian ‘chudail’, named Chakhua. Hence she will be donning traditional Maharashtrian attire including sari and ‘nath’ (nose ring).
