Puri: The controversy over the missing keys to the inner chamber of Srimandir Ratna Bhandar has once again hogged the limelight after The New York Times published a report on the issue Sunday. The report claimed that Jagannath temple in Puri has huge gold and other precious metals in its possession but the shrine authorities have neglected their safe-keeping. The report has descriptions of the amount of ornaments at the temple treasury, the missing key episode, political slugfest over the issue and the formation of judicial panel to probe the fiasco. The report also cited the views of Gajapati king, former temple administrator and a few devotees and intellectuals.
