Restaurants, bars permitted to remain open following Unlock 4.0: Odisha government

Bhubaneswar: In accordance with Unlock 4.0 guidelines issued by the centre, the state government Wednesday afternoon allowed restaurants and bars to resume their day to day business activities.

A letter written to this effect by Tourism Department Director Sachin Jadhav to various restaurant and hoteliers’ associations stated that, “Restaurants and bars across the state of Odisha are hereby allowed to open for dining and carry out other business activities.”

However, the restaurants and bars are needed to strictly adhere to the guidelines and SOPs on preventive measures to contain any probable spread of COVID-19, the letter emphasised.

In case of a particular area being declared as a Containment Zone, local authorities concerned will take a decision on the functioning of restaurants and bars, unless and until the restrictions are lifted.

Notably, the state government had issued a detailed guideline on Unlock 4.0 August 31, two days after the centre issued guidelines.
