Cuttack, April 16: Rising Students thumped Saheed Sporting by eight wickets to enter the final of the Pradipta Memorial Inter-Club cricket tournament at the SCB Ground here Thursday.
Title favourites Saheed Sporting had a rare bad day at the office as they faced a batting debacle and were bundled out for 53 runs in 24.5 overs against some disciplined and penetrative bowling by Jayant Behera (3/9) and Suryakant Pradhan (2/9).
In reply, Rising Students cantered home in only 7.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Arvind Singh (36) batted sensibly to ensure victory.
