Shergad: A biker died in an accident as the vehicle hit a bridge wall at Subalayapalli village chhak in this block of Ganjam district Saturday night.
The deceased was Shankar Pradhan of Shikiri village. He eked out his living by selling ice cream.
Shankar was returning from Shergad to Hinjili. Locals rushed him in a critical condition to Shergad hospital, but he could not be saved.
Shergad police sent the body to Berhampur-based MKCG Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The bike was seized, and an investigation was on, police said.
