Sonepur: In a tragic incident, two youths were killed at Badmal Chhak on Sonepur-Sambalpur highway Thursday night after a truck hit the bike they were travelling on.
The deceased have been identified as Sushant Seth and Pravat Dharua of Bijepur in Bargarh district.
According to reports, the road accident took place when the victim duo was returning back home late Thursdayt night who, had gone to Sambalpur for some personal work. The truck hit their two-wheeler from behind and mowed them down.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and admitted the injured duo to Ulunda Hospital late in the night, where doctors pronounced them dead.
The accused truck driver has been arrested and the bodies were sent for autopsy.
