Pipli: A 35-year-old man, who sustained critical injuries in a road mishap near Bhitapur on Pipli-Nimapara Road here late Thursday, succumbed to his injuries at a private healthcare facility in Bhubaneswar Friday.
The deceased was identified as Gangadhar Khatei, a resident of Dahijanga village in Nimapara police limits.
Sources said that the mishap occurred when Khatei along with three others were on their way to Nimapara while returning from Bhubaneswar Thursday night. A bus knocked them near Bhanpur Square injuring them severely.
Nimapara MLA Samir Ranjan Dash, an eyewitness, rushed the four to a healthcare facility here. However, later they were shifted to a private healthcare centre in Bhubaneswar.
