Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the most sought after directors in the Hindi film industry. Even if he doesn’t want to, his name consistently is associated with other stars. Any time an actor visits Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office speculation grows rife of collaboration between the two.
Earlier there were reports of Deepika Padukone, Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor visiting the filmmaker’s office to discuss projects. They all turned to be friendly visits. It was just that these actors were meeting Bhansali at a personal level… and not to discuss work.
The latest to join the list is Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. She was recently seen visiting Bhansali’s office and immediately rumour mills started doing the rounds that the two were doing a film together.”
“No such thing!” an informed source was quoted as saying in ‘spotboye.com’. “Like all the other stars who were seen visiting Bhansali’s office, Sonam just dropped in for a chat since they go back a long way,” the source added.
It should be stated here that Sanjay Bhansali had launched both Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in the film Saawariya. The film was released in 2007. Though the film didn’t work at the box-office it kicked off both Sonam and Ranbir’s career. Since then the two have given quite a few hits.
The source said that Sonam has never left contact with Bhansali. She meets up with Bhansali whenever both are free. However, these meetings don’t mean that the two are doing a film together.
“There are many actors who come to visit me. We chat over a cup of tea. We don’t have to work together just because we are meeting socially,” Bhansali was also quoted as saying by the same website.
