London: Avengers: Doomsday will feature a host of superheroes from different universes but directors Russo Brothers say they won’t confirm or deny the presence of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk in the movie.
Ruffalo’s Banner was most recently seen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Russo brothers teased that Hulk is “certainly involved” in the story around Doctor Doom.
“I think we could say is, (Banner) is certainly involved in the story that revolves around Doom,” Joe Russo told Empire Online.
“We will not confirm nor deny his appearance in Doomsday.”
Anthony Russo added, “The farthest we can go is to say, there are characters and actors who have not been announced, who are a part of Doomsday.”
Avengers: Doomsday, which marks the return of the brothers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, is set to be released December 18 as part of Phase six of the MCU.
Avengers: Doomsday will feature Avengers, the Wakandans from Black Panther, the Thunderbolts (known as the New Avengers) from Earth-616, the Fantastic Four from Earth-828, and the original X-Men.
Robert Downey Jr., whose Iron Man sacrificed himself in the final moments of Endgame, is returning to the Marvel fold as supervillain Doctor Doom.
