Past and present cricketers, people from all walks of life, celebrities from different segments took to various social media platforms Monday to congratulate Sachin Tendulkar who turned. The build-up to Sachin Tendulkar’s 50th birthday had been noticed in the last few days. Even his franchise, Mumbai Indians held an impromptu bash for Tendulkar, during their game Saturday against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The most innovative wish however, came from who else but Virender Sehwag. The former opening partner of Tendulkar posted a video with the caption, “Maidaan par jo aapne kaha , uska ulta hi kiya, toh aaj aapke iconic 50th birthday par toh aapko Shirshasana karke wish karna hi tha. Wish you a very happy birthday @sachin_rt Paaji, aap jiyo hazaaron saal, Saal ke din ho ek crore” (Whatever you said on the field, I did just the opposite . So on your iconic 50th birthday I had to wish you while doing Shirshasana. Wish you a very happy birthday Live for a 1,000 years and let each of these years have 1 crore days).”
