Mumbai: Versatile actor and the good-looking Bobby Deol turns a year old today. Bobby, who made his debut with Barsaat also starring Twinkle Khanna, has come a long way in the film industry.
The birthday boy has featured in a handful of superhit films like Soldier, Badal, Bichhoo, Humraaz and Ajnabee. But there came a time when Deol disappeared from the industry. This was the worst period of his career.
However, thanks to superstar Salman Khan, Bobby Deol is back in the industry and giving some tremendous performances. Bobby is totally indebted to Salman for his advice and for bringing back his career on track.
In an interview, Bobby revealed that Salman Khan’s advice got his career back on track.
Talking about the time when Salman helped him, he said in an interview, “We used to play CCL (Celebrity Cricket League) and he was the Mascot. He came for one or two games and he used to say ‘what are you doing.’ And I said, ‘Mamu what to do. I am trying to make a project. He asked me to remove the beard. He said ‘when my times were bad, I climbed on to your brother’s back, I climbed on to Sanjay Dutt’s back and I moved my career forward. So I said ‘let me climb onto your back, give me an opportunity.”
At such a time, Salman gave him a break in Race 3. After which his career slowly started returning to track, but after this came his web series Aashram, which proved to be a hit. The first and second part of this series was very much liked by the audience. Now the viewers are waiting for Aashram Part 3.
Bobby was also seen in Housefull 3 also starring Khiladi Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and actresses like Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde.
