Bhubaneswar: Sambit Panda is leading the pack along with 13 others with three points each after the completion of the third round of the Orissa State Fide Rating Senior Chess Championship here Wednesday.
The other players sharing the top spot are Vaibhav Mishra, Biswajit Nayak, Rakesh Kumar Nayak, Rajesh Nayak, Rabindra Kumar Ojha, Nilsu Patnaik, Manans Ranjan Moharana, Partha Sarathi Satpathy, Manish Kumar, Dasarathi Sahoo, Harshit Ranjan Sahoo, Shreyas Subham Patnaik and Priyansh Das.
As many as ten players are sharing the second spot with 2.5 points each. They are Prasanna Kumar Nayak, Bikash Kumar Lenka, Koustuv Dash, Ansuman Samal, Manoj Kumar Tripathy, Susobhit Das, Susant Kumar Sarangi, Rajesh Kumar Nayak, Swapnil Priyadarshi and Soumya Ranjan Sahoo.
In the third round matches Sambit got the better of Jagdish Barik while Rakesh checkmated Satosh Raj Panda. Rajesh prevailed over Sarthak Debta and Vaibhav defeated Ankita Sahoo.
