Bhubaneswar, May 3:  National Game’s gold medalist Sarita Singh of Orissa had to be satisfied with a bronze medal in the hammer throw event of the 19^th Federation Cup National Senior Athletic Championship at Mangalore of Karnataka, Sunday.

She threw the hammer to 54.97m to secure the third place. Ritu Dhiman (58.30m) of Uttar Pradesh won the gold, while Sarabjeet Kaur (55.10m) clinched the silver medal.

In 200m race, both Srabani Nanda and Dutee Chand qualified for the final, which will take place Monday. Purnima Hembram was leading the pack in heptatholon after the completion of the first round.
