Bhubaneswar: SCAN Sporting registered an emphatic 104 runs victory against Jatani Studs in the inaugural match of the Puspalata Garabadu Masters cricket tournament here, Friday.
Put into bat, SCAN scored 172 for four in the allotted 20 overs riding on a brilliant knock by Mohan Sahoo (91) For Studs, in reply folded at 68 for nine with one of their players
In reply, the Studs could manage only 68 for nine as one of their players did not bat due to injury. Dilip Nayak and Sushant Paikray bagged two wickets each for the winning side.
Kho kho meet
Orissa Kho Kho Association (OKKA) will organise the State Junior Kho Kho Championships at the Sarangadhar Stadium in Kamakhya Nagar, December 22-24.
It will also serve as a selection trial for a training camp to be organised by the association in March at Behrampur. Twenty boys and the same number of girls will be selected for the camp. Also 12 boys and girls each will be selected from the camp for the state team who will participate in the National Junior Kho Kho Championships, in Manipur next year.
Adhip in IOA
Adhip Das, treasurer of Orissa Olympic Association (OOA) has been elected as the executive member of Indian Olympic Association (IOA), OOA announced in a press release Friday. This will be Adhip’s maiden job with the highest Olympic body of the country.
