Bhubanewar, April 4:Top seeds registered thumping wins to move into the quarterfinals of the Puri Open AITA All India Talent Series U-16 Ranking Tennis Tournament in Puri, Saturday.
In the boys’ U-16 category, top-seeded Amrutjay Mohanty prevailed over Samarjit Sethy 8-2. Second seed Aditya Satpathy downed Rahul Behera 8-4 while fifth seed Sahil Kumar thrashed Aryan Bal 8-1. In another match Kabir Hans triumphed over Divyakant Mallick 8-2 to advance to the next round.

(Girls’ under-16): Ayesha Swain bt Pratiksha Priyanshi 8-3, Ankita Panda bt Dhriti Bhattacheerjee 8-1, Ameek Kiran Bhatt bt Anaam Almas 8-6.
Tennis tourney
Puri District Tennis Association (PDTA) and Puri Club will jointly organise a mega tennis tournament in the club premises April 4-12. Participants will be divided into six categories in the championship.
