Hyderabad: The year 2020 has been horrible for the world of entertainment.
In what is yet another tragic episode of suicide among actors, Telugu TV actress Sravani took the extreme step of ending her life Tuesday.
Fans and stars alike have taken to social media to offer their condolences and trying to dig deep as to why Sravani killed herself.
The police have registered a case and have launched an investigation into the matter. According to media reports, the family members of the late actress alleged that Sravani ended her life due to harassment by Devraj Reddy.
According to reports, the actress died by suicide at around 10 pm Tuesday night. She lived on the second floor of H56 block in PS Mathura Nagar, Essar Nagar, Hyderabad. The body was sent to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem. The actress’s family has lodged a complaint against Devaraj Reddy with the Epsarnagar police.

According to Telugu360, Sravani came in touch with Devaraj Reddy on TikTok and became friends with him and started meeting him on a regular basis. The family alleged that Devaraj harassed their daughter and after the incident, Sravani became very anxious and had been in a lot of tension. The family also alleged that Devaraj made phone calls and threatened the late actor that he will damage her reputation.
Sravani’s family thinks it’s because of Devaraj’s blackmailing that their daughter took the extreme step. Sravani went into the bathroom and hanged herself.
Sravani has been acting in Telugu programs for the last eight years. She has acted in many serials like ‘Mouna Ragam’and ‘Manasu Mamata’. After the death of Sravani, fans have flooded social media with tributes and remembrance posts.
