Koraput: Three members of a family were reportedly found dead on a railway track near Singaram station under Laxmipur police limits in Koraput district, Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Kadanda Sahu (40), his daughter Shreya Sahu (12), and son Sidhu Sahu (8).
Sources said some locals identified the severed bodies of the three on the railway track and informed the government railway police (GRP) regarding this.
On being informed GRP police reached at the spot and recovered the bodies.
During investigation, the GRP personnel found that the three deceased belonged to one family. The reason behind their death is yet to be ascertained after preliminary investigation. The cops informed that the three members of the family allegedly died by suicide by jumping in front of a moving train.
The three bodies have been sent for post-mortem and further investigation regarding the matter is underway.
