Berhampur: The timing to keep shops and markets open in Ganjam district has been changed and those will be allowed to remain open from 5am to 8pm from Monday onwards. This was informed by Ganjam district Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange through his twitter post.

Shops were earlier being allowed to carry out business from 5am to 4pm. However, weekend shutdown will remain in force in the district as per the state government’s guidelines and until further orders, Kulange added.
Kulange appealed shopkeepers as well as customers in Ganjam district to follow social distancing norms and wear masks. Ganjam district administration appealed local residents to strictly abide by COVID-19 guidelines and to maintain social distancing in the days ahead, in order to prevent any probable spread.
