Raipur: Shanti Udke, sister of the late police constable Rajesh Gaikwad, who died during an exchange of fire between Maoists and police in 2014, ties a ‘rakhi’ to his statue every Raksha Bandhan.
She tied a rakhi to Rajesh’s statute in this Raksha Bandhan as well.
“My brother passed away during a gun fight with Naxals March 11, 2014. I feel bad that I can’t tie a rakhi to him in person, but at the same time, I feel proud for my only brother,” she said.
Rajesh was posted at Sukma’s Tongpal area.
