Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police Tuesday night busted an adulterated sauce production unit at Mahaveer Basti in Sailashree Vihar in here in the city.
According to reports, spurious tomato, chili and soy sauce was manufactured at the unit using pumpkin.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Chandrasekharpur police raided the unit and seized the equipment used for sauce production.
Arta Singh from Jajpur district was arrested in this connection.
Police said the accused used to deliver sauces to roadside eateries and small hotels in Chandrasekharpur and its adjacent areas for cheap prices.
