“Those who are interested in sports should dedicate themselves with single-mindedly if they want to achieve success. Do not get discouraged by failure; instead learn from that failure to win the next match,” he said.
Earlier, former Olympian Anuradha Biswal inaugurated Zest and urged the students to compete in a spirit ideal for sportsmen. The proceedings kicked off with the ignition of the flame by the renowned athlete. Around 3,500 students from the six different houses of the school participated in the colourful march past.
Speaking to Orissa Post, BJEM principal Sandhya Jena said, “Sports gives a boost to fitness and fitness is one aspect students should focus more on. We always host various sports-related activities in order to identify the skills of students.”
Talking about a career in sports Jena said, “Earlier, there was no scope for the sportspersons in Orissa. But the importance of sports has been underlined by the government. So I believe students can make a career in sports in Orissa in the coming days.”
