New Delhi: Star wrestler Geeta Phogat announced Monday that she is pregnant with her first child. The Commonwealth Games gold medallist took to social media to let the world know of her good news.
Geeta Phogat shared a picture of herself flaunting her baby bump.
“A mother’s joy begins when new life is stirring inside, when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds that little one is never alone. You never understand life until it grows inside of you,” Geeta Phogat posted the caption along with the picture.
Phogat tied the knot with fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar in November 2016.
It should be stated here that the moment the good news went viral, there were many who took to the social media to congratulate Geeta Phogat. She had participated in the eighth edition of the popular reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. So her co-contestants Hina Khan and Nia Sharma left notes congratulating the soon-to-be mommy.
Hina Khan wrote, “Congratulations Geet to you and Pawan… God bless you my darling… so so so happy for you.. Aum Ganeshaya Namaha!”
Nia Sharma who was one of the finalists couldn’t hold her excitement Nia wrote, “Oh man @geetaphogat,” with many heart emojis.
