Post-mortem of the body was to be conducted in the morning. After striving for over an hour the situation was brought under control. The situation calmed down after local tehsildar and senior police officials promised to investigate into the incident and take necessary action against the guilty employee. The officials also promised to provide compensation. Eventually, the family agreed for post-mortem.

On being contacted, superintendent of the hospital Jagdish Barik said, “A team has been formed to probe the incident. I also assure to take action to prevent reoccurrences of such incidents at the hospital.”
