post news network, Bhubaneswar, July 4: The results of the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) – 2015 were declared recently. Abhishek Sahoo, a classroom programme student of a private institution, Bhubaneswar Centre, emerged the state topper securing an all-India rank (AIR) 33.
Sahoo had also scored well in the XII Boards, with 98.4% marks. His score of 283 out of 360 marks was good enough to help secure him the state-topper status.
“I am immensely satisfied after being the topper in the state. This is not something that comes easily; it requires dedication and determination. I am grateful to my teachers, who have been supporting me from the very beginning,” said Sahoo.
“Studying at a good institution helped me strike a balanced approach to all subjects. It helped me prepare for the engineering without compromising on our board examination. I have emerged out of this coaching with solid conceptual knowledge,” he added.
Abhisek Panda emerged as the second state topper by securing an AIR 38. Earlier, he had bagged the AIR 154 in JEE (Advanced) and he was able to better his score in the main examination.
“The result that you produce shows your potential. I toiled hard and was able to score good marks than before. However, it would not have been possible without the help of my teachers. I used to study for eight hours every day and that helped me get good marks. I would like to thank my loving parents too,” said Panda.
“Year after year, our results have proved our leadership position in training the students for engineering and other competitive examinations. In our institution, our aim is to groom a generation of young science enthusiasts, who will lay a strong base for science research in the country,” said Ranajoy Bardhan, centre head of the private institution in the city where the toppers studied.
