Bhubaneswar: Students who sat for the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Sunday were cheerful after the test and confident of doing well.
Officials added to the cheer by declaring that no complaint has been reported from any of the centres.
“The examination was conducted smoothly and we have not received any report on malpractice or any other issues,” said the secretary of OJEE, Priyabrata Sahu.
More than 46,000 students appeared for the OJEE in 81 centres in 20 towns and cities across the state. The examination was conducted in three sittings. The first sitting was held from 9 am to 11 am, the second from noon to 1 pm and the third sitting from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
“The examination was not very tough and I expect that I will get a good score,” said Sushant Mohanty, one of those who wrote the exam.
The majority of the students appeared for the first and second sittings, indicating that there will be more students for MBA, pharmacy and lateral entry engineering this year, according to official sources.
The results will be published by the first week of June, said the OJEE secretary.
“Our office will receive all the answer sheets by Monday and we expect to publish the results by the first week of June,” Sahu said.
