Students urged to fight climate change at national workshop

BHUBANESWAR: The World Human Rights Protection Organisation(WHRPO) organised a national level Workshop on  ‘Climate Change and Human Rights’ at Royal College of  Science and Technology  auditorium here Saturday.

Around 300 delegates comprising academicians, professionals, human rights activists, students, youth and women representatives from the nook and corner of the country participated in the conference.

President of Indian Political Science association Professor Jugal Kishore Mishra  spoke about green house effect and evils of carbon emission discussed at the Paris convention. Pradipta Mohanty CMD of S N Mohanty group, Diptesh Patnaik, DIG of human rights protection cell and Bishnu Mohan Mohanty, chairman, Royal College of Science and Technology called upon students to be torch bearers to arrest climate change.
