Joda: Joda municipal authorities have issued a notice to Tata Steel for its lackadaisical waste management in the civic body areas.
The notice was followed by a directive from the National Green Tribunal to the State Housing and Urban Development Department to implement the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
“After the Housing and Urban Development Department gave us notice for solid waste management, we have sent a notification to Tata Steel,” said Suryamani Pattajoshi, the executive officer of Joda municipality.
It is the responsibility of Tata Steel to ensure management of its solid waste emanating from various housing colonies, offices, park, guest houses, community centre, hospital, dispensary and plants.
