Cuttack: A tenant was arrested for allegedly stabbing his house owner to death in Cuttack Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Amala Nayak from ward no-16 in Choudwar Municipality area.
According to sources, the accused, identified as Babaji Moharana, barged into Nayak’s house Monday night and stabbed him with a sharp-edged weapon. Nayak sustained grievous injuries on his neck and stomach.
Hearing his noise, neighbours of Nayak rushed to save him but they were also attacked. Nayak was admitted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have arrested the accused and started an investigation.
