The ‘Dirty Picture’ actress Vidya Balan once hated her body

Mumbai: The Dirty Picture actress Vidya Balan is known for her bold comments. She opens up on different public and health issues without any hesitation.

She is among the top heroines to stand up for a cause. Though, she has been targeted by trolls for her straightforward nature, she hasn’t been hesitant to speak up on issues that are spoiling youths of the society.

On several occasions, she has also shut down trolls by giving them a fitting reply. She keeps on encouraging women who are suffering from body shamming.

 

During an interview, Vidya recalled a period when she was suffering from obesity and hated her body too. Even after losing weight she realised she has been not fully accepted by everyone. Later she understood that one should stop changing for others.

Vidya further said, she took long time to accept her body and now she feels happy, beautiful, and confident. She further added that nowadays people talk too much about her body and she does not like it at all. Talking about the trolls, Vidya questioned why she does not like people for their mean thinking.

On professional front, Vidya returned to the screen in 2019 to play Basavatarakam, the first wife of actor, filmmaker and politician N. T. Rama Rao (played by Nandamuri Balakrishna) in a two-part Telugu-language biopic directed by Krish, titled N.T.R: Kathanayakudu and N.T.R: Mahanayakudu..
