Mumbai: Aman Yatan Verma, popular actor and anchor of the TV industry, is celebrating his 48th birthday today. He made his acting debut in the TV serial Pachpan Khambe laal Diwar with Meeta Vashishta in 1987.

After working in several TV serials, Aman made his film debut with Sangharsh (1999). Aman got recognition from Ekta Kapoor’s serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He also appeared in lead roles in many serials. But he never got a lead role in films.
He played the role of a father of a 20-year-old daughter in the film Baghban (2003) while his age was 32 years at that time. Aman in one of his interviews said “I feel Baghban was the biggest mistake I made in my career. People thought that I am a matured man and I started getting dad roles.”
Aman’s reality show Khullja Sim Sim on Star Plus was a hit. His was at his peak of his career in 2005 when he was accused of casting couch.
A popular news channel conducted a sting operation, in which Aman was seen talking to a model about sexual favors in exchange for a career and the video was also telecasted in March 2005.
This brought widespread criticism and he stopped getting offers. Aman subsequently filed a case against the channel.
He alleged that the channel wants to ‘blackmail and extort money’ by doing this.
After this scandal Aman did not get work for years. Aman married TV actress Vandana Lalwani in 2016. Vandana is 15 years younger than him.
