This is why a brother had to apologise for crying at his sister’ wedding

Crying at weddings is not uncommon in India. The sight of a crying bride bidding goodbye to her family to begin a brand new phase of her life is enough to induce tears in the strongest of characters.

But in Russian Republic Chechnya a similar incident has jolted everyone. Here, a brother found crying at his sister’s wedding quite expensive as he had to issue a public apology.

According to media reports, the video of a brother’s crying at his sister’s farewell went viral last week, which sparked controversy. According to a religious leader, the boy had violated Chechen traditions by crying at the wedding. According to tradition, he should not have attended his sister’s wedding, but he went and wept there. That is why he was asked to apologise in public.

The video of the boy’s apology has also gone viral on social media. According to historians, “It is not considered right for people to display their feelings in Chechen weddings, whether it is a woman or a man. So when the video of the boy crying at his sister’s wedding went viral on social media it angered people.”

Actually, Chechnya’s men are considered the strongest and powerful in the world. This may be the reason why the boy had to apologise. However, some people are also angry with this decision, because they believe that anyone gets emotional when their sister bids them goodbye. In such a situation, it is not right to ask for a  public apology from a brother.

The most interesting thing in this case is that the presence of the bride’s family members at weddings or the public display of emotions at such events is not against the law in Chechnya, but it just goes against tradition.
