Parlakhemundi: At least three motorcyclists sustained injuries after a bridge collapsed near Jagannathpur village under Gumma block of Gajapati district Tuesday.
They have been admitted to a nearby hospital by local people.
According to available information, the trio was crossing the bridge on the bike when it suddenly collapsed due to heavy rainfall.
Road communication to many areas of Kulasing panchayat and its adjoining areas were cut-off due to the incident.
Meanwhile, locals alleged that the mishap took place due to the negligence and failure of the district administration in repairing the old bridge.
