Comedy is indeed a difficult art to perform and not everyone is confident in performing it. The Hindi film industry has seen a large number of comedians. Some of them like Asrani has really been successful and has managed to stay on scene for close to 50 years. Not only is it difficult to laugh on screen, it is even tougher to crack a joke and make people laugh.

However, there have been a number of phenomenal comedians in the Hindi film fraternity. Their comic sense, their timing of delivery and their histrionics have left everyone astounded.

Off-screen they are doting fathers to their lesser-known sons. One can just hope that the juniors also inherited the talent their fathers possess.

Boman Irani and Kayoze Irani: Boman Irani started his acting career when he was in his late 30’s and got instant recognition through the portrayal of his roles. His son Kayoze is known for his role in Student Of The Year. Other than that, Kayoz has also acted in films like Youngistaan and The Legend of Michael Mishra.

Govinda and Yashvardhan Ahuja: It is not easy to live up to the reputation when you have a dad like Govinda. Ask Rohan Gavaskar (son of Sunil Gavaskar) that and he will be the first to certify. So the 20-year-old handsome Yashvardhan Ahuja, son of Govinda, knows what awaits him when he appears on screen. But the man is keeping his options open other than acting. Yashvardhan has learned filmmaking from London and is currently working with Sajid Nadiadwala.

Akshay Kumar and Aarav Kumar: Being a ‘star kid’ is not easy. But if anybody pulls off the status of being a celebrity kid like a pro, it has to be 15-year-old, Aarav Kumar son of Akshay Kumar. Aarav is the most down to earth kid in the Hindi film fraternity. You would probably see him in his hoodie and cap, shying away from the cameras and going about his work.

Kader Khan and Sarfaraz Khan: Kader Khan played a gamut of roles in the films he acted in. He was a villain, a comedian, a character artist, but never a hero. However, in doing all such roles, Kader Khan at times stole the thunder from even the main protagonist of the movie. His son Sarfaraz Khan has also taken to acting and has been a part of movies like Tere Naam and Wanted.

Johnny Lever and Jessey Lever: Jessey, the son of Johnny Lever made his debut in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. No one may have noticed him them, but today the youngster has grown into a tall, dark and handsome man with six packs. However, unlike his father Jessey doesn’t want to pursue comedy, but instead searches for serious and intense characters. He has also assisted in the making of Gori Tere Pyar Mein.

Paresh Rawal and Aditya Rawal: One of the most versatile actors of the Hindi film industry, Paresh Rawal needs no introduction. What we don’t know is that his son Aditya Rawal is not just a star-struck celebrity kid. Even though Aditya featured in the movie, Bombay Talkies, he prefers his pen to do all the talking. Aditya is a screenplay writer and has worked for producers and directors both in India and the US. He was also the screenplay writer for OMG: Oh My God! – a movie in which his dad Paresh Rawal played one of the lead roles.
