Bhubaneswar, May 24: The state government has provided a breather for lady Sikshya Sahayaks (SS) and lady Junior Teachers (JrT) by relaxing norms for both intra or inter-district transfers for ensuring a safe working environment for them.
SSs or JrTs seeking an intra district transfer in exceptional case will have to apply to the block education officer (BEO) by December and the application will be forwarded to the district education officer (DEO) by January. The district collector will take the final decision keeping in mind that the school environment should not be affected and that the post sought should be available.
The inter-district transfer will be done on mutual basis from one revenue district to another. Both the applicants shall submit their applications to the district project coordinator, which will be forwarded to the director elementary education in November.
Any SS or JrT who has completed one year of service would be eligible for the transfer. Also the mutual transfer will be applicable to a SS or JrT only once in their total service period till they become regular teachers. The parameters including category, qualification and post of both the applicants should be the same in the case of mutual transfer.
The director elementary education will examine the case and forward the application to the school and mass education department by December. The department will by January submit the list to the director, who will then issue transfer orders by the end of March. The applicants should join by April.
However the position of teacher concerned will remain below the seniority list of the recruitment year of the district.
