Moscow: South of Yemen’s capital Sanaa has been hit by two explosions, with one of them targeting a missiles and weapons depot, media reported.
According to Al Arabiya TV, the second explosion also occurred at a weapons cache located in another neighborhood in Southern Sanaa, close to the Yemen Petroleum Company.
Yemen has been locked in a conflict between the government forces led by President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and the Houthi rebels. A Saudi-led coalition has been conducting strikes against the Houthis at Hadi’s request since March 2015.
December, during the UN-led consultations in Sweden, Yemen’s warring parties agreed to a ceasefire in the port city of Al Hudaydah and pledged to implement various humanitarian measures, including an exchange of prisoners and establishment of humanitarian corridors.
