Baripada: Two minor girls drowned in a well at Bhalugada under Tiring police limits in Mayurbhanj district Saturday. The deceased were identified as Mukta Nayak (11) and Sama Nayak (4).
The bodies were retrieved from the well. The girls after returning from school had gone to the well to take a bath, but did not return home. Their parents searched for them the whole day, but did not find them.
Some villagers later found their bodies afloat in the well. Police seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
