Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, two minor boys were killed in a road accident near the New Bus Stand in this district, Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Sumit Sahu and Subhankar Mallick of Kuansa area. They both were school students.
According to locals, a speeding car hit the minors who were cycling on NH-16 at about 5.30am. Both the kids died on the spot. The driver fled with the vehicle and is yet to be traced. A hunt has been launched for both the car and the drivers.
Local police reached the spot after being informed about the accident. They sent the bodies to the Bhadrak district headquarters hospital (DHH) for post-mortem. An investigation has also been launched to ascertain the cause of the accident.
