Bhubaneswar: Orissa Minister for Skill Development and Technical Education Usha Devi has lost her bag containing Rs 25,000 in cash, a mobile phone, identity card and other valuables. The bag was allegedly stolen by miscreants on board an express train, said police Saturday.
The Planning and Convergence Minister’s handbag was allegedly stolen while she was travelling in the Puri-Durg Intercity Express Friday.
The Minister was on her way to Kantabanjhi from Bhubaneswar. The handbag was stolen between Rairakhol and Angul stations, she said in the FIR lodged at Titlagarh Government Railway Police (GRP).
An investigation has been launched into the incident, Mohan Nayak, the inspector-in-charge, said. PNN
