Bhubaneswar: Utkal University has postponed the fourth-semester examinations of several undergraduate programmes scheduled to be held August 17 in view of the recent flood situation across several parts of the state.

According to a notification issued by the Controller of Examinations (CoE) Sunday, the examinations for UG (Plus III), BSc ITM, BSc Computer Science and BEd (UDTE) 4th Semester-2026 have been postponed until further notice.

The university said the decision was taken considering the disruption to transportation and normal academic activities caused by the flood situation, as well as to ensure the safety and convenience of students, faculty members and examination personnel.

The CoE has directed all principals and directors of Plus III degree colleges, including self-financing colleges affiliated with Utkal University, to immediately inform students and staff about the postponement and circulate the notification through college notice boards and official communication channels.

The revised examination schedule and question paper distribution arrangements will be notified separately by the university in due course.
