Bhadrak: Sleuths of the Vigilance Department in Balasore morning conducted separate raids Friday morning at the office and residences of Rajendra Khandei, the secretary of Tesinga Cooperative Society, and his wife Sangeeta Khandei, the sarpanch of Tesinga Gram Panchayat under Bhandaripokhari block in this district.
There were alleged complaints that the two had accumulated assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
Five teams simultaneously carried out the raids on their parents’ residences, brick kiln, farm house, panchayat office and cooperative society office.
During the raid many important documents were seized. The details regarding the value of assets of the duo would be ascertained after the completion of the raids, informed an official.
