Viral clip: Motorcycle adventure takes terrifying turn in seconds

A shocking video has emerged from Koraput district in Odisha, showing three people on a motorcycle being swept away by powerful floodwaters while crossing a waterlogged bridge. The footage, now widely shared on social media, clearly shows the struggle to retrieve the motorcycle amid the severe flooding.

The dangerous incident occurred on the Malda-Kailari bridge under Borigumma block, where the water level had risen about five feet after continuous rain. In the video, three riders attempt to cross the submerged bridge when they are suddenly caught in the strong current.

The rider loses control, and the motorcycle overturns, sending all three floating in the rushing water. Bystanders nearby quickly rushed to rescue them, pulling them out and saving them from what could have been a fatal accident.

The video also shows that despite the overwhelming amount of water, one of the young men tried to cross the bridge. Without the immediate help of locals, their lives could have been lost. Their motorcycle, however, was swept away in the flood. All three reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Witnesses at the scene recorded the entire incident on mobile phones, and the video has since gone viral. Viewers have criticised the negligence of the riders while also praising the quick response and bravery of the locals who saved them.
