Viral video of petrol pump worker drains fuel from scooter after customer offers Rs 2,000 note

After RBI asked citizens to get their Rs 2,000 currency notes exchanged at banks, people are racing to swap their notes. Social media has gone berserk over the notification with memes, jokes and funny incidents flooding the internet.

Recently, a video went viral showing a petrol pump attendant draining fuel from a scooter after receiving a Rs 2,000 note from a customer.

Twitter users could not stop giggling at the situation.

Nigar Praveen shared the video on Twitter with the caption, “Gave 2000 note at a petrol pump in UP’s Jalaun. The staff refused to take notes. Later poured petrol was also taken out from the tank.”

The video has been shared by hundreds of users and have garners lakhs of views.

The oil station attendant in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun allegedly refused to take a Rs 2,000 note and drained fuel from a tanker of a man’s scooter.

the rider of the scooter paid Rs.2,000 note to the petrol station employee after filling up his scooter. However, the employee declined to take the note and asked for one with a smaller value to which the customer refused.

Afterwards, the argument continued. The worker used a hose to drain the scooter’s fuel tank as can be seen in the viral video.

Following the incident remarks from the petrol pump manager, Rajiv Girhotra stated that after RBI’s directive, petrol pumps are bearing most of the load.
