Pattapalli: As part of the Government of India’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, the VISWASS Group of Educational Institutes recently observed Vana Mahotsav-2025 with a mass tree plantation drive on its campus and surroundings.
Around 1,000 saplings were planted by students, teachers, and staff.
BJP state president Manmohan Samal, attending as chief guest, urged students to take active responsibility in nurturing trees and protecting the environment.

For over two decades, VISWASS has provided education in higher secondary, nursing, and paramedical streams to underprivileged and meritorious students from rural areas.
The institution is also known for its consistent involvement in health camps, environmental awareness, and social outreach.
Founder Pratima Ghadai, along with chairman Pragyan Ranjan Ghadai and secretary Nandini Ghadai, continues to lead the institute’s mission of inclusive education and sustainable development.
Among the dignitaries present were the MP of Bhubaneswar, MLA of Jatni, Khurda District Collector, Security Officer, Tehsildar of Jatni, and Chief District Medical Officer.
Programme coordination was led by director Laxminarayan Panda, with enthusiastic participation from the entire VISWASS community, each contributing by planting a tree.
