Bhadrak: Seventy five out of 1,292 booths in this district have been declared as ‘model polling booths’ where voters were welcomed with roses Monday.
According to the district election office sources a number of facilities are available in these booths including ramps for physically-challenged voters, selfie zones, wheelchairs, presence of volunteers to help the differently-abled and elderly voters, waiting hall for voters, drinking water and fans.
In the booths to beat the scorching heat, cooling drinks are also being offered to the voters while children are given chocolates.
The model booths are the ones at Bapujee High School, Bapujee Nodal UP School, Okara High School, Ganjamal Primary School, Tishalpur Primary School and Baudapur Primary School under Bhadrak block and Bhadrak District School, Bhadrak Girls’ High School, BM Bagurai High School, Kuansa Project Upgraded School, Bhadrak College, Gopabandhu Nodal UP School and RSBL High School under Bhadrak Municipal area.
The district election administration also informed that transport facilities are available in all the booths for those who want to avail of it.
