This Ghat has been named Narad Ghat. It is believed that Nareshshwara Shiva was founded by Narad, hence it is also known as Narad Ghat.
According to locals, Narad Muni once bathed in this ghat and deliberately polluted this ghat by dumping waste so no one could bath in it. Even as the ghat is cleaned up, but the curse remains.
