Watch: No food, no water, Karnataka man survives on engine oil

A 33-year-old man from Karnataka has turned into a mysterious case study for health experts across the world, as he claims to live without food or water, surviving solely on 7-8 liters of waste engine oil and tea every day. Doctors and scientists are baffled by his claims and lifestyle, unable to explain the secret behind his continued fitness. Known as Oil Kumar from Shivamogga, he insists that this unusual lifestyle is possible only due to the blessings of Lord Ayyappa.

Instead of rice and chapatis, Oil Kumar consumes waste engine oil and tea in huge quantities daily. Living and wandering around Karnataka in the guise of a sadhu, he is happily continuing life while drinking motor oil. Reports further suggest that he has never needed to visit a hospital nor required any medical attention, and continues to maintain good health despite his bizarre habit.

His strange lifestyle was captured in Reel format by @avalakki_pavalakki. Shocked by his hazardous daily eating pattern, the user even consulted an AI to confirm whether humans could drink engine oil, and the AI returned surprising results.

In the caption, the user wrote, “Kumar believes this unique lifestyle is only possible with the blessings of Lord Ayyappa.” His story has now become one of the most widely discussed medical mysteries in Karnataka and India, gaining attention as what many are calling a miracle of faith.

The viral video shows people offering him food, which he refuses, choosing instead to gulp oil straight from the bottle. Experts warn, however, that engine oil is highly toxic and contains hydrocarbons and heavy metals capable of severely damaging the liver, kidneys, lungs, and brain.
