Weather update: Hail with gusty surface wind likely over these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Tuesday issued Yellow Warning for thunderstorm and lightning in some parts of Odisha. The weather agency also issued a warning for hail with gusty surface wind over three districts of the state.

Upto 8.30 AM of February 28: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir and Subarnapur districts. Hail with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over Bargarh, Nuapada and Bolangir districts.

In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north interior Odisha, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Boudh, Subarnapur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Nabarangpur. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of the state.

From 8.30 AM of February 28 to 8.30 AM of February 29: IMD predicted that dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

The weather agency forecast no change in maximum temperature (night) over the next four to five days.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, mainly a clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards afternoon/ evening is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33 degree Celsius and 20 degree Celsius respectively.
