Dhenkikote: A woman was electrocuted as she came in contact with a live electric wire while decorating her house for the upcoming Raja festival, at Tandibeda village near here in Keonjhar district Friday. She was Sumitra Nayak (25).
Sumitra was busy painting her house while her in-laws and husband had gone to work in their farm. She came in contact with a live wire and fell unconscious. Neighbours spotted her in this condition and she was rushed to the local community health centre (CHC). Doctors declared her ‘brought dead’. A case of unnatural death was registered and a probe was launched.
The body was handed over to family after autopsy.
